Wednesday 9/27: Grant Writing Workshop with Prof. John Maciuika

Please join us at 6 PM for a workshop with Professor John Maciuika, Practical Strategies for Grant Writing in the Humanities.

This grant-writing workshop is designed to demystify the process by which successful grant proposals are written. Knowing that there are no absolute guarantees of success when it comes to competitive grant writing, this workshop covers the strategies, practical steps, and writing styles that best communicate research topics and goals to grant evaluators who decide the fate of each and every grant.

Practical advice as well as handouts covering important grant-writing strategies for the humanities and social sciences are included in the workshop. If you are hard at work trying to perfect an application to such organizations as the Fulbright Program, the DAAD, the NEA/NEH, or numerous other possible grant organizations that have fall deadlines in September/October 2017, then this workshop on practical grant-writing strategies may be a wise investment of your time. The presenter will draw upon both grant-writing experiences as well as invited participation in the grant selection committees for offices of the DAAD, Fulbright Program, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

We hope to see you there!
