Faculty News: Romy Golan to Speak at the Musée d’Orsay and the Centre Pompidou

Professor Golan has two exciting speaking engagements coming up in Paris. On Thursday May 31, she will give the talk, “Monet / Vertigo: 1959-1914,” at the symposium, Ils ont continué Monet – La réception américaine des Nymphéas.

Hosted by the Musée d’Orsay in partnership with the Terra Foundation for American Art, the symposium considers the US reception of Monet’s nymphéas, installed at the Musée de l’Orangerie since 1927.

On June 15, Dr. Golan will be in conversation with Dr. Patricia Falguières about her book, Muralnomad: The Paradox of Wall Painting, Europe 1927–1957, at the Centre Pompidou’s Kandinsky Library.
