Congratulations to Elizabeth Berkowitz, recipient of a 2018 American Council of Learned Societies Public Fellowship, made possible by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Mellon/ACLS Public Fellows assume two-year, full-time positions with top nonprofit organizations and government agencies working in the fields of policy, civil rights, arts and culture, and the media.

Elizabeth will work as the Outreach Program Manager at the Rockefeller Archive Center. This year, she defended her dissertation entitled, “Bloomsbury’s Byzantium and the Writing of Modern Art.”
